IEC/IEEE 60780-323:2016 — Nuclear facilities — Electrical equipment important to safety — Qualification. This joint IEC/IEEE international standard sets out the basic principles, methods and procedures for qualifying electrical equipment and their electrical/mechanical interfaces used in nuclear facilities so that the equipment can be shown to perform required safety functions under applicable service conditions, including design-basis events and certain design-extension conditions.
Abstract
This standard provides a harmonized qualification framework (combining prior IEC and IEEE practices) for initial qualification, maintaining and extending qualified life, and updating qualification following modification.
